Yesterday, some customers who left us with a precious memory soon after TORATORA opened came back.
When we explained our shop’s name, we discovered their grandfather—84 at the time—was born in the Year of the Tiger, just like Torao, Torako and Mini Torako. The four Tigers enjoyed a lovely time together.
He loved matcha shaved ice and finished every drop, even after it melted.
Sadly, he passed away last year. His wife and a friend returned because he had so wanted to visit again. They enjoyed his favorite Uji Matcha Ito Bingsu. We felt sure he was there with them, too 🐯
We were saddened by his loss, but grateful they came back to a place full of memories.
